Food Drivers would allow us to stay in the office and do the actual social work that we need to do; this is saved time that is extremely valuable.

Food Drivers, Student Drivers Delivering Good – Founder and developing the start-up organization ‘Food Drivers’, a service connecting student driving education programs for food deliveries to nonprofits and food pantries.
Food Drivers is an organization committed to putting student drivers’ hours and miles to work for the greater good. We give student drivers a greater purpose by enabling them to deliver food to nonprofits and food pantries. Organizations save time and money to help them reduce the effects of food insecurity in their communities.

“I have always believed in the power of social innovation. Taking design and applying it to systems in the world that can be improved to help people. I have worked with a variety of non-profit organizations focused on food insecurity and alleviating hunger. The idea for Food Drivers came to me as I worked through a design sprint focused on social innovation. I realized that student drivers are driving around communities during their drivers education courses. In their own communities there are people experiencing the terrible effects of food insecurity. I connected the dots and applied the design thinking process to this problem, leading to the creation of “Food Drivers” connecting student drivers with food pantries. And, allowing young people to be a change within their communities.”
